Home run. The best meal we had all weekend was the muffuletta we picked up here on our way home after the evening festivities. It is tiny and hard to maneuver. It looks like a fire trap. Be patient, you will be rewarded.

Easy to order and pick up, food was absolutely delicious! We had both the fried shrimp on French bread and the shrimp Philly sandwich with French fries. Fries were amazing for me (large meaty cuts of potato not overly crispy - as I love) but not for my wife (who prefers McDonalds style fries).

The guy who handed me my food was so kind and I just cannot get over how delicious the muffuletta here is. It’s the best I’ve ever had and I have had a lot of muffulettas! The spicy is just top notch!

Tried the Philly Cheesesteak and it was pretty damn good, ngl.
Definitely a messy sandwich —but in a good way. Kinda pricy. You’re gonna be paying anywhere from 17-20 bucks for just the sandwich here but to be fair, it was a very large sandwich and i could’ve very easily shared half.
[BTW this is important: if you order for pick-up, call them and put the order in yourself, or put the order in directly at the store or whatever, just don’t put the order in online! The internet will try to convince you that you need to do it via grubhub (or three other similar apps) and even states that they don't charge you anything for pick-up orders, but that is: a blatant lie. It certainly does charge you a few bucks off the top just to put the order in for you electronically.
Yes, you'd basically be tipping a virtual waiter/computer program just cuz]

Haven't had a bad meal from here. If you don't like a messy sandwich, which to me the messier the better! This time I found my new favorite sandwich. The Roast Pork PoBoy! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Absolutely amazing. A Pot Roast PoBoy (Nola PoBoys has the best) has always been my favorite and am very picky about how the sandwich is done and only a few places get it right, can't be just some sliced meet dipped in gravy. I like an actual Pot Roast PoBoy. I decided to try something new and the Roasted Pork PoBoy is now my new favorite of course gotta have a Barq's root beer to wash it all down! Just simply amazing fully dressed.

I had a warm muffuletta and it was the best muffuletta I've ever had. It's a huge sandwich that's basically two meals worth of food. You can go back to the counter to see the menu, then you order up front at the register and pick up your order in the back at the counter. This isn't a full service restaurant so there isn't anywhere to sit, you'll have to take your order to go.

5 stars for Verti Mart. With that being said, my boyfriend said, "what a weird place, I mean I get they have like 4 square feet in there, but why don't they just have a window?" Actually, yeah a window could work for orders. BUT, it's Verti Mart! You have to go in and be way too close to strangers, it's a bonding experience! I got a dressed shrimp poboy with extra Mayo, as is my go to poboy order and it was perfect of course. He got one with a bunch of stuff, it was good but mine was better. Grabbed a Times-Picayune newspaper. I love that this place hasn't changed a bit since I was a kid. My very favorite spot for an authentic, New Orleans messy poboy. Yay Verti Mart, please never change.

Best Shrimp Poboy I've ever had!!! Hands down! Came all the way from Chicago to try this spot out. Didn't get to take many pictures of the food because as soon as we opened it. We devoured it! Lbvs. Such a big sandwich. Definitely shareable. So flavorful and packed with shrimp. Our friends got the Beef Poboy and they said it was so good as well. Our hotel was in Canal st. We walked it there, which was like a 20min. Walk. When you get there, it's literally a tiny little grocery store. You have to walk all the way to the back where they have their deli. Doesn't look much appealing in there. But, I'm telling you that their Poboys are AMAZING!!! A must try when in NOLA. Definitely will be going back when we go back to NOLA.

Arguably the best sandwich in the world. New Orleans at least, which is both a bold and accurate statement. What an incredible way to improve any day/night in the quarter. There's not a bad sandwich here. It's open 24/7 and includes a grocery for all your provisions. All these things plus being the best sandwiches in the best eating city in America just makes this an absolute must. This trip I got the Royal feast. I'm not a big monarchy guy but this is a Royal I can get with. I'd marry into this royal family tbf. It's basically a ham and turkey with half a cow worth of brisket and Wow Sauce. The flavors meld together so well and even though you're eating three very different meats it works like magic. Run, don't walk, to Verti Marte. It will never let you down. Recommend infinity.
